The Neon Prize is a partnership project of Signal Festiva<\/a><\/span><\/strong>l and Pra\u017esk\u00e1 plyn\u00e1rensk\u00e1<\/a><\/strong><\/span>. It aims to support and promote emerging artists focused on digital technology, animation, motion design, and 3D animation. You will be able to get a closer look at the winning work of the third edition at this year’s Signal Festival.<\/p>\n This year’s jury included Pavel Mrkus, chief curator of Signal Festival, Pavla Scerankov\u00e1, artist and teacher at AVU, Ond\u0159ej Hor\u00e1k, artistic board member of Signal Festival, and Daniel Burda, program coordinator of Signal Festival. Their task will be to select one of the outstanding projects from a wide range of formats to be presented to the visitors of the 11th Signal Festival.<\/p>\n The awarded work will also become part of the art collection of Pra\u017esk\u00e1 plyn\u00e1rensk\u00e1, whose portfolio includes works by respected Czech artists such as Toyen, Jind\u0159ich \u0160t\u00fdrsk\u00fd, Adolf Hoffmeister, Ji\u0159\u00ed Kol\u00e1\u0159 and B\u011bla Kol\u00e1\u0159ov\u00e1.<\/p>\n Julie D\u00edt\u011btov\u00e1<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, a graduate of the Design and Digital Technology studio at UMPRUM in Prague, was impressed with her diploma thesis Programming Patterns<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, which offers a visually captivating database of machine-generated patterns of ecclesiastical fabrics from the 18th century. For her work, she won the Czech Grand Design award in the category of Graphic Designer of the Year.<\/p>\nWhat does the jury look like?<\/h2>\n
