Mercedes-Benz: AURA
A luminous effect emphasising the perfect lines of electric cars – that’s Mercedes-Benz: AURA. An installation that presents the Signal Festival’s main partner with an emphasis on electromobility from the perspective of dynamic movement and sustainable luxury.
Fully electric, sleek cars are enveloped in a subtle light animation that moves seamlessly across layers of semi-transparent fabric, evoking a dreamlike atmosphere.
Let yourself be carried away by the magical whole from afar, or experience an intense visual adventure by entering directly into the heart of the installation. Mercedes-Benz has been a proud partner of the Signal Festival for 11 years.
The creative concept of the installation was created by Václav Mlynář, his team from Monument Office studio and one of the largest domestic studios for creating new art and visual experiences – Signal Creative.
Mlynář headed the award-winning deFORM studio for many years together with Jakub Pollág and then founded Monument Office, his own architecture and interior design studio. He is also the Art Director of the glass brand Bomma and teaches product design at NC State University in Prague.
Impressive animation was brought to life by Lukáš Dřevjaný, lighting designer and live video performer of events focused on progressive electronic music such as Lunchmeat Festival or Addict Rave. Dřevjaný works with virtual reality, video and visual media, which are connected by the motif of light. This is a means for him to manipulate the senses and convey intense audiovisual experiences.
The author of the sound design is Samuel Jurkovič. Sam has worked on countless projects including commercials, feature films, and computer games. In 2023 he won the Czech Lion award for the sound for the film Point of Renewal.
Signal Creative is an independent creative studio based in Prague and is one of the largest domestic producers of new art. It specializes in creating unique video mappings, light design and art objects in public space. It focuses on creating original presentations for companies around the world.
