Davide Quayola (UK) → Strata #4

About project

Strata #4 is an audiovisual installation inspired by a series of iconic paintings from the collection of the Palais de Beaux Arts in the town of Lille in the North of France, primarily the altars of Peter Paul Rubens and Antoon van Dyck. This precise artistic process is based on depth analysis of the proportions, composition, and colour scheme of the individual paintings, through which Quayola defines universally applicable principles of beauty and perfection into a work for a new age.
