Evolution is a follow-up of a project Onionlab presented at Mapping Festival in Geneva. The piece revolves around the graphic and sound abstraction of the concept it is named after: evolution. It is construed as transformation, construction and alteration of reality through time; evolution as a discontinuous creation process as well.
Onionlab is a multidisciplinary audiovisual studio that focuses on the production of artworks and installations related to technology, art and design. The Barcelona-based studio is one of the world's pioneers in the field of video mapping. It is also dedicated to laser installations or VR. Some of its famous projects are Presented By, LUSH, Sonar +D, Sala 5, Expo Yeosu 2012, Towards Biology or the immersive 3D mappings Paradoxa, El Prado, Ulterior and Axioma.
